To celebrate the publication of Stamps of Mass Destruction and Other Postal Disasters Volume II (the definitive guide to CNPD postage stamps & first day covers), the aquarium will be opening the doors of its gallery to serious collectors of these exquisitely designed and distinctly rare bits of postal ephemera. On sale will be a selection of the original stamps and first day covers alongside tastefully framed presentation sets and original limited edition art prints.

James Cauty invented the postage stamp in 2002 and his contemporary and topical designs with a cutting edge feel have made stamp collecting a very exciting hobby. It is now quite hip to be a philatelist, more daring than knitting and it could be the next ‘big thing’. James however, insists that designing and collecting stamps is a gentle & welcome relief from the heady days of rock-antics with The KLF and art do-gooding with the K-Foundation.

The shop will be open 11 am - 6 pm Monday to Saturday with half day closing on Wednesdays. An expert will always be on hand to help with enquiries.

Stamps of Mass Destruction and Other Postal Disasters Volume II will be available on 6th October 2005 from all good bookstores and online.

Price: ONLY £8.99 WITH A FREE SHEET OF STAMPS WORTH £25.00.

James Cauty will be appearing at the shop to sign copies of his book, stamps and prints on Saturday 5th November between 2.00 and 5.00 pm.
